Graduate Management @ Batemans Bay

Masters of Management

The Master of Management is offered by the Graduate School of Business and provides an opportunity for managers to enhance their career opportunities by developing professional, personal and technical skills in key business areas. The degree consists of eight subjects and is designed to widen and improve skills on the complex and specific issues impacting on Business performance.

Units completed in this program may also be credited towards other programs offered at the Wollongong Campus or Sydney Business School.

Subject areas

>> Supply Chain Management >> Innovation Topics and Cases >> Contemporary Issues in Management >> Quality in Management >> Accounting for Managers >> Statistics for Decision Makers >> Managing People in Organisations >> Economic Analysis of Business Environments

Entry

Applicants for the Master of Management should have a Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized tertiary institution with an average mark of at least 60% and at least two years work experience. Students with a course average lower than 60% will be required to demonstrate an adequate level of appropriate work experience.

Delivery

The program has been designed for those who work full time. Classes are held one evening each week. Each unit is delivered over nine weeks of seminars, followed by a short break before moving onto the next subject. This allows students to concentrate on just one subject at a time and complete the program in manageable segments while still completing four units each year.

Graduate Certificate in Management

Those students who wish to complete a management development program of shorter duration, may apply to enroll in the Graduate Certificate of Management (GCM). The GCM consists of four subjects, usually requiring 12 months of part time study.

Upon successful completion of the GCM, students may apply to progress to the Masters program with credit for subjects under the Graduate Certificate.

Entry

Applicants for the GCM should have managerial work experience and typically a minimum of two years equivalent full time study in a relevant discipline.
